Dr. Ruvo completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital/Westchester County Medical Center in New York, and served as Chief Resident. He has over thirty years of clinical and administrative experience in Emergency Medicine and is President and CEO of MedExcel USA, Inc.. He has reorganized MedExcel into a progressive group, ready to meet the challenges of the ever-changing medical environment. Dr. Ruvo serves on NY ACEP’s Practice Management Committee, is Medical Director of the Orange County Regional Paramedic/EMS Corp., serves on the Hudson Valley Regional EMS Medical Advisory Board, the American College of Physician Executives, the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of the State of NY.
Dr. vanRoekens graduated with distinction from John Hopkins Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency program in 1993. In addition to being board certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. vanRoekens received his Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Public Health in 2000. Dr. vanRoekens has just recently rejoined our organization as Executive Vice President for Patient Care Services overseeing both our Emergency Services and Hospitalist Programs. Prior to coming aboard with us, Dr. vanRoekens has held the positions of CMO with the Manhattan’s Physician Group, Director of Emergency Services at Vassar Hospital and President of Hudson Valley Emergency Medicine, PLLC.
Dr. Chacko completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School. Prior to joining MedExcel USA, Inc., where he is now responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of the Hospital Medicine Division, Dr. Chacko served as Chief of Hospital Medicine for Preferred Health Partners, a large multi-specialty group in New York, NY. While with Preferred Health Partners, Dr. Chacko was commended for his outstanding hospitalist program performance. Dr. Chacko is past Chairman of the Young Physicians Committee for the Society of Hospital Medicine and serves on the Hospitalist Advisory Board for World Research Group. He has made written contributions to several hospital medicine publications and is recognized for his insight and experience in the emerging Hospitalist approach to healthcare. In 2009, he was recognized as a member of the first class of Fellows in Hospital Medicine (FHM). As a direct result of his passion and experience, Dr. Chacko was invited by Quint Studer to be a part-time physician coach for the Studer Group.
